Feature and Follow Friday (#1)

This is a weekly meme hosted by AlisonCanRead and Parajunkee. Participants gain new followers and make new friends with the Book Blogger Feature & Follow! This is my first post with this meme. :) To learn more, just head to the hosts' blogs! This week's features are here and here.

Q: What is one book that you would be nervous to see a movie adaptation of because you think the movie could never live up to the book?

A: The City of Bones by Cassandra Clare. This is one of my all-time favourite book series. When I heard they were casting for it I just shook my head- I wasn't excited. I think as book nerds, we're always hesitant of movie-adaptations because we've all been let down at one time or another. I hope it doesn't happen with this one! There are so many other books that I could list in my wariness for films! I hope that no more books get pummelled to death by film-makers. Not that there aren't some good ones...

Happy Reading!

  1. Oooh, good choice. The City of Bones would make me nervous, but I heard they've cast Lily Collins as the lead, and I adore her, so I'm less nervous now. If they do it right, it could be amazing.

  2. I felt the same way but I'm only worried about who Jace is the others I'm not that bothered about. Do you think if there was a TID film they'd use the same Magnus? I hope so! New follower!

    1. I'm REALLY looking forward to Magnus' film debut. If they did the whole Shadowhunters franchise, they must use the same guy! Unless I hate him, of course. I've followed you back. Thanks!

  3. City of Bones is mine too. I don't really see Lily Collins as Clary or the guy who they picked as Jace!

  8. I've never read City of Bones but I can definitely identify with being nervous someone will ruin your vision of what you've read. I hope, if they do give you a CoB movie, it rocks!

Also, happy FF! Just sneaking through to say hey. I'm a new follower! I hope you'll stop by & visit me too.
